Oh, sisters

four sisters in the grass

There is something almost magical about watching my girls together. The bond they have together is something that I have never experienced for myself and will never ever really know. When they are all getting along it is amazing, and when they aren’t? Well, you better get your ear plugs in.

four sisters

Maddy and Piper, biggest and littlest sister

Biggest and littlest. Our wild child music-in-her-veins dance-in-her-feet  girl, and our sweet sunshine quickly-turning-into crazy adventurous toddler.

Maddy and Piper

Lilly and Zoe, best friends and sisters

These two, the middle sisters, totally different to each other, but thick as thieves right now. Their whispers and their giggles, their wild imaginative games. So fun to watch and be invited into their little worlds sometimes.

Isaiah and Piper

And whilst sisters are a different kind of special, big brothers are pretty amazing too. Especially when they are gentle and caring enough to pause their own game and pick a flower for baby’s hair so Mama can take a photo.

Your girls are incredibly blessed to be able to have that sister bond! Though I have a sister, she's 7 years younger than me. So we've never been "close". I have more of a bond with my mother than with her. So I feel as if I missed out on having a sister relationship : /

Gorgeous pictures of your gorgeous girls. I love you black and white at the top. So pretty.
I have sisters, so I know what a special bond they share. When they're not scratching each others' eyes out :)

Maybe as you both get older you'll develop more of a friendship? I guess 7 years is a pretty big gap! There are large "gaps" between my girls when you consider oldest to younger, and even 2nd oldest to youngest, but I guess because there are four of them of various ages it isn't so obvious. I'm so thankful they have eachother (and will be more thankful when the screeching at eachother dies down… if it ever does!).
