Babywearing love
December 19, 2012 | Category: babywearing

Just a few of my babywearing photos taken by iphone via instagram over the past couple of months. I am so grateful for modern technology that allows me to easily capture these moments. As her first birthday edges closer and closer they become more and more precious to me.
Can she really be just a little over a month away from turning one? I have begun early birthday preparations. Buying the woollen felt to create her birthday crown, dusting off my sewing skills (I made her christmas stocking a few days ago, I wasn’t sure I could still sew – happy to report I can), thinking of different small ways we can celebrate her first year of life. How do you celebrate birthdays in your house? I’d love to hear some fun traditions!

I also dusted off my sewing machine and made bunting in pinks and greens for graces birthday. (i am now bunting mad! it works for every occasion). i also hung photos from each month of her life on the clothes line along with some of my favourite outfits of hers from the past year. i really wanted to capture and celebrate how much she has grown in the past year and remember how tiny she was just 12 monthscago.
Piper is going to be one?! What a celebration it will be : )
I love bunting too! We have a christmas one up at the moment and I have two others in the cupboard for other occasions. I didn't make them though, well done you!
I LOVE the clothesline idea! That is awesome. I may have to "borrow" that one if i can dig out the small clothes I've already packed away.
You are such a beautiful baby-wearing mama! I love the first photo especially
I too am thinking about how to celebrate my little one's first year of life.
I hope it will be a beautiful celebration… we always do a small family (sometimes a few friends) "party" for their first birthdays. This one feels a little bitter sweet, she may very well and most likely is to be our last baby.
Thank you Emily! I love the first two, I was spinning her around and around when my husband was taking the shots using my phone. So glad they turned out.
Do you have any ideas planned for his first birthday yet?
